About Our School

Samson High School is a fully accredited 9th-12th grade facility located in the west end of Geneva County, Alabama.  Samson High School received a newly-constructed building in 1997.  Samson Middle School is composed of 6th, 7th, and 8th grades and has just moved into a new facility on August 10, 2006!

Samson High School offers a full range of opportunities--academically, athletically, and socially.  We offer advanced courses giving students the opportunity to do college-level work and earn college credit hours while still in high school.  The school also provides a curriculum that allows students to prepare for work in skilled jobs through our Career Technical courses.  Students may become a "completer" in our Career/Tech Program and receive an additional seal on their diploma.  Our school takes great pride in Business Industry Certification (BIC) and fully supports the tremendous efforts of the Alabama State Department of Education and the Career/Tech Department.

Our school offers opportunities to our students through athletic involvement.  Our female students compete with other high schools in basketball, softball, and cheerleading.  Our girls basketball team has won the 2A State Championship in 2006, 2007, 2016, and 2018.  GO LADY TIGERS!!! Our male students compete in football, basketball, and baseball.  Most importantly, our students are taught to win or lose with dignity and pride in themselves and their school.

The opportunities provided for our students to grow socially come from a wide variety of activities and clubs which are available to all who wish to participate.  Our clubs and organizations consist of :  FBLA, FFA, FCCLA, FCA, FTA, Student Government Associatoin, Tiger Representatives, and Yearbook.  Many of the best and most memorable lessons in life come from these social interactions.

If you have chosen to locate in our community, we welcome you and look forward to working together.  Should you be moving to our area with teenage children, you will find in Samson High School and Middle School an atmosphere open and receptive to new students.  We take great pride in our school and its students!
